On The Cuff.

scrabble.jpgFew men that I know wear cuff links, but there’s something about a set of Scrabble tile cufflinks that makes me want to go out and buy a tux. They’re interesting conversation pieces, and most of the times I’ve played Scrabble I’ve had a really hard time using the letters Q and Z. The artisans at QA Create also make cuff links, necklaces, and bracelets using typewriter keys. As much as I love old typewriters, they’re not very practical. Having actually tried to use typewriters on occasion (especially when I get a document in a non-editable format) the twinge of nostalgia I feel when I see an old typewriter is undone by memories of the frustration of pecking at those big heavy keys–and hoping I don’t make a mistake. While some old typewriters will become museum pieces, it’s nice that others are being recycled into jewelry. And you can choose the key you want.
